Stopped in for breakfast, we were looking for somewhere that wasn't a chain and had some soul. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the people working here were kind. The dish I posted a picture of is the #4 huevos divorciados. It comes with tortillas but I forgot to get them in the picture. One weird thing was Google Maps tried to take us to the back side of the restaurant, but we figured that out pretty quick and drove around to the front. The street address is E Price Rd, and that's where the front is, but the directions route you to the back side on S Price.
Very surprised, food was very well prepared. I'm prettty picky with eating eggs at restaraunts because they are either over or under cooked. Tried the chorizo & egg taco added refried beans. *Chefs kiss* 10/10 Will add pics on my next visit, I was so hungry that I forgot to take pictures...🙃
Absolutely positively loved this place. You get what you paid for and the food is huge. 1 plates can definitely feed 2. Highly recommend this place if you haven't tried it alread.
Was looking for somewhere to eat pancakes and not a chain store... found this place on Google, weeeelllllll.... it was GREAT! Food was great cute restaurant! Our waitress was very attentive and the cook was accommodating to our requests! Glad we went there to eat! Plus my favorite movie was playing so that made it even more awesome!
Honestly, food was good. I just wish the portions were bigger, they were super underwhelming. However the food tasted better than most places I've been at in brownsville. The plates were clean, and the server was good. Might be back. We ordered the Mexican Egg plate and a breakfast special and my kid got an apple juice. We spend $23 which is great in this economy.
After leaving Crepe Town with no food and a stained white leather purse, my sister and I opted to try one of the highest rated breakfast restaurants in Brownsville, and we're so glad we did! I'll post my sad experience at Crepe Town on their page, this review is for Minios Cafe only! My sis and I enjoy having breakfast at different restaurants around the Valley. Minios had been coming up on my maps as highly recommended every time I searched for "best breakfast Brownsville". We arrived to a small, clean, friendly restaurant tucked into a little strip mall off Price and Paredes. The young man who greeted us suggested the agua fresca de sandia which turned out to be super refreshing and not overly sweet! We had migas locas with a homemade flour tortilla and gorditas con papas y huevo + beans on the side. Everything tasted delicious, fresh, and homemade! My sister, who always shares her breakfast with me did NOT share today! She surprised herself and ate the entire entree! Our server brought out a new salsa recipe he was working on and asked for our feedback: super flavorful and savory without being overly spicy! The neatest thing about our breakfast was the complimentary slice of chocolate cake at the end! My sister's eyes and mine met after our first bite instantly remembering the Duncan Hines cake our mom would make when we were little: the one you baked in the white cardboard-like box that came with a tube of frosting in the package! I'm sorry Crepe Town stained my sister's very extensive leather purse, but I'm not sorry it led us to Minios! I already promised my husband I would treat him next weekend!
The smash burger was a 10/10 and so were the chilaquiles. I loved that the fries and hash browns are fresh, it’s worth the extra minutes of wait for those. You get such a good portion for the price too. Love the environment and loved being there. 10/10 would recommend everyone was so nice!
UPDATE!! Its been a WHILE since I visited Brownsville and I was craving breakfast from this place. I ended up going twice this weekend. On Saturday, I ordered their Barbacoa taco. It was perfect, not overly greasy and not crispy/crunchy like they over cooked. Today, I went back cuz I really wanted to try their Gorditas and have to say, I was truly impressed. I got their potato, egg and chorizo gorditas. They were amazing with their tomato salsa. The owner is a young man that truly sees this cafe as his passion and it shows in his food. All of it is made fresh to order so as long as you have the time, youll be in for a great meal. —-previous review——— i got a breakfast taco from minios and it was super tasty. The taco was way bigger than I expected. I only paid $8 for two huge tacos. The meals are always made fresh and the flavor proves it. 10/10 will come again! Outside of the food the restaurant was very clean and the service was great!
